Hopefully the 35 Lux Steel Rim reissue was among the M lenses added. Its 6-bit code was registering as the 90 Thambar when using the M Adapter-L with the SL2.

It would be great if they fixed that 'continuous high' battery limitation. It makes no sense. Let it run until the battery is dead!

Could be a limitation of the battery design – voltage drops too low to physically power a continuous high shutter once the battery is below 20%.

I'm sure there is a technical explanation and perhaps low voltage is the culprit.

Quick test with v 5.2.0 and the original SL2 battery on the SL2 with SL 50 APO and looks like I was able to get another 10% ish out of the battery below 20% shooting in iAF and Continuous -High Speed burst. In my simple test, seems that got me an additional 139 full size files DNG files in Continuous -High Speed mode beyond 20% battery draw. I saw the Continuous -High Speed / Power warning message at about 10% but then after letting the camera rest I was able to squeeze another few high speed bursts beyond 10% battery depletion ( estimation) So looks like there has been some improved power management in v 5.2.0 at least with the original SL2 battery 🥳

I'll be testing the new SL2/Q3 battery soon 🤞🏼

A quick follow up to my previous post about the new power management enhancement that came with SL2 v 5.2.0 firmware.

Even better news! Using the new Q3 battery in the SL2 with the SL 35 APO prime, I was able to shoot AFC Continuous -High Speed burst all the way through to the end of the battery charge, even as the empty-battery warning logo was blinking. I was even able to shoot Continuous -High Speed burst until the camera finally shut down/ powered off.

For me this is big news. Been a long time coming, since 2019 I think, but here it is. I don't have any non Leica Lmount lenses to test but from what I read on LUF another person confirmed similar improvements with a Sigma L-mount lens and v 5.2.0 firmware.

A enhancement for both the original SL2 battery and even more for the new Q3 battery!
