With the Z9, shooting at wide open with tack sharp photos isn't a problem at all.  I am glad I am shooting with a Z9 because it was only me shooting that day, with over 300 athletes. Every shot counted.
Shooting swimmers in the open water is a whole another ball game. Yes, you don't see faces as much unless they need to breathe. If your shooting angle isn't above the water, is hard to focus anything at all...because all you see is water splash and a large body of water.
The logo? Is the same one for both portrait and landscape because is automatically applied by Smugmug.
