All the while I was tracking him I was mumbling to myself "please stop, please stop". I really wanted him to stop for a second and look my way for a pose but he never did

Interesting how some wildlife is surprisingly cooperative, like your brown bear image giving you the stink eye, and others such as this wolf just refuse to give you even a sideways glance.
I wish I knew how to predict which is which!

Beautiful image regardless, showing its intention on the task at hand as well as just enough of the background to illustrate the environment in which it resides.
