I'm running MacOS Ventura latest edition - 13.5, I seem to be having more freezes particularly with Ps. They're most common in Ps when executing a CPU intensive operation such as regenerating an image after calling for a significant change. Lr freezes most commonly in the background with nothing happening. I don't appear to have lost data, but cannot actually be positive. My copies of both programs are up to date. (iMac Pro 1,1 128Gb RAM, 2Tb SSD.

Any thoughts on what's going on would be appreciated.

I was getting a similar issue with Lightroom, it would go away for a while, doing something, but not showing any substantial increase of CPU/SSD usage in the Task Manager.

This is on a Windows 10 i5 16GB box. I was going to replace that machine with a new Mac mini anyway, so I didn't concern myself too much.

Once I updated to the Mac mini M1 16GB the problem went away. I know that's not much help to you, but maybe the reinstallation on a clean OS install cleaned things up.

I'm using Ventura 13.5 on a 2019 iMac. 64 GB and VRAM is 8GB. I made sure to get enough VRAM for AI which chews that up.

I have not used PS for long time. As for LrC I follow this very closely. I have to say that since the memory leaks have been corrected and performance improvements I don't need to turn off lens corrections for intense editing anymore.

A few things. Clearing and increasing LrC cache can be helpful. Sometimes re-setting preferences can solve some weird glitch. Shutting down LrC periodically and making sure Integrity and Optimizing are checked.

I tested it out the other day for another reason. All of these edits with lens corrections on including masking and not even a hiccup. Exported in seconds. Sometimes I have 75 or more edits for my B&W conversions.

I do have the 16Gb graphics card. It has worked well for me though I can tell that newer versions are starting to strain it. Thanks for the links. I'll follow up.

16GB VRAM is still more than sufficient for a graphics card; for example a current $1200+ RTX 4080 has 16GB.
128GB DDRAM is plenty also. I would be looking at software issues first, but freezing under load can be a hardware issue such as mainboard, RAM, PSU, etc. I don't know if there are any stress utilities you can run for Mac hardware, but I'd try that. Are there any logs that are showing useful info?
