The gators are active this year... seems like there might be more young ones too...

This little guy was chittering away behind me as I took a picture of a gator, he was trying to warn me about the gators...If anything, I was probably in more danger because of his distraction now as I turned my back to the gator to grab a shot of this guy, heh.

The funny thing is, this is not a zoo or animal preserve, this is your typical Florida park with picnic shelters and lookouts along the water, a boat ramp, kids playground, and people everywhere. The gators have become just part of the scenery to us locals.

Though I have to admit, my wife does freak a little when I send her telephoto shots that I tether to my cell and text to her from on location. She'll text back and say "please be careful, and maybe you should step back a bit".  !
