Yes, but the question is not whether MTF increases for a lens on a higher-density sensor but how much. Theoretically it's of course a certainty that MTF increases for all lenses on a higher-density sensor. But on lenses with lower lp/mm resolving ability the increases can be so small they can fall below JND. That's really what someone is asking about when they pose a question like the OP did.
