My daughter's PC has an AMD Radeon Pro WX 3200 GPU. She used AI denoise for the first time yesterday, and for a 45MP file, it took over an hour, and made her PC unuseable for the entire duration (since the GPU was pegged near 100%, there was tons of video lag).

I verified the newest drivers are all installed.

Anybody ever have this problem? Is it a GPU architechture issue?

GPU throttling. You either need to be using modern Mac Silicone or a very good dedicated GPU to get workable results.

Make sure GPU processing is enabled in LR.

I'm surprised it finished. My old GPU was taking 3-4 minutes but would only do one or 2 files then fail.
A LRC or complete Windows reboot was required to get a couple more done. I replaced it with the 3060 and it takes 30 seconds for a 60mp file now.

We don't have much data on AMD GPU's, you can see here that even for 3 generation old Nvidia that they are a good bit slower then current.

If possible upgrade the GPU

Well, I would understand if this older GPU took 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds, but to take 20x longer? I suspect there's something else at play rather than the GPU not being powerful enough.

Eric Chan (adobe) wrote that Denoise is optimized for Apple M chips and Nvidia Tensor cores. No mention of AMD. So I agree with you that it's likely their architecture. I've not read any info related to it though.

LR performance is a real mixed bag on a PC. Seemingly similar machines can return very dissimilar results. Some have suggested that Adobe's code is to blame.
