does anyone have any experience on using expired pigment inks?
any major cons?
color inconsistencies? clogging?

for reference, i use the canon pro-2100

I can't give you direct use answer, but I photographed for guy that sold prints at youth hockey and he used expired inks all the time in his imageprograf 8200 without a problem. I have also read many forum posts about using expired inks with without problems.

I use the Canon 2000, the predecessor to the 2100 and have used expired inks (2-3 years) without difficulty. How old are they? As another point of reference, I still have an old Epson 3800 (notorious for clogging) which still fires up and prints without issues and it has some inks over 10 years old.

The pigments may have settled. Give them a vigorous shake before installing.
The only downside is that Canon does not get your money.

Pigment prints last almost forever. Seems the inks will last also

i have some 6 months expired but my buddy is selling one that is from 2020. curious if i should get them

wondering if they clump up with age and clog the heads

My Epson 4880 is using 220ml cartridges from 2012 onward. I pull them out and shake them about every month or two. Never had problems.
