| p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · DPP versions question and MacBook Pro compatibility | |
I haven't used DPP to process my photos in a while (since switching to LR), but from 2004 to around 2015 or 2016, all of my files were processed using DPP.
I'm just in the process of upgrading my MacBook pro to the new M2 MacBook and noticed that i no longer have two versions of DPP on my computer like i used to, I only have DPP professional 4 - I'm assuming that is the most recent version I don't even remember which version is which anymore, since I haven't used it any more. I used to have both installed at one time, not sure if the older one was no longer compatible with Mac operating systems. I"d appreciate if someone can confirm this is the case, as I can only see DPP professional 4 as the only available software now.
I had used the original version to process most of my photos, so the recipes of the edits were saved whenever i opened up DPP.
Does anyone know if those recipes on the RAW files processed would carry over to the new version of DPP
Does the DPP professional 4 process files going back to the original EOS 5D and 1D2N When Canon released the new version of DPP, I thought there were some limitations, but I don't remember. At the time it wasn't a big deal;, since I still had the old version of DPP as well.
I'd appreciate if someone can clarify on if only DPP 4 is available now (for Mac), and if it does retain edits made in the older version, and if it will process the files from the older digital cameras.
