Took a walk from Capitol Hill to the Lincoln Memorial on Friday night (was in DC for a long weekend). While I've been to DC a number of times I never got a chance to do that walk at dusk/night.
In the first photo I happened to see a gentleman walking with a few bags and stop right in the center. He proceeded to solute (see in photo), I can only imagine he is/was a serviceman paying his respects.
