Handsome little fella Morris. I'd guess you had your hands full not blowing those highlights while trying to get the eyes out of that shadow/banded area.

Really nice, intimate portraits with plenty of detail in at both ends of the tonal spectrum, Morris.

I like the compositions too.

Thank you Eric,
Taking the photo I simply concentrated on the white exposure. The RAW showed detail in the blacks and in ACR I brightened the shadows a little.
