A tit-for-tat Brent in fun! This station is abondened. This RR system is owned by a private company and is only in a few portions of W. Maryland. It allows the agri farmers transport to the Port of Baltimore via CSX connections.

The owners have kept this station house and the track system in excellent condition.

Union Bridge, Md is a very small town. Vandalism has yet to strike the town. It is mostly farmers and quarry plant families and a great little eatery. Maybe 5 blocks long and that is it.

I don't know how long you have been away from Mary-land but it ain't the same!!! It is being demolished by greed, taxes and politics. Not too much outside the "swamp"..but the "swamp" has engulfed all surrounding MD/N.VA counties into its confines so the mess is creeping up my way.

Baltimore City has become a disaster zone. Little Italy has kept its uniqueness but it is dwindling in size block by block.

Actually Jim it is. The RR uses it for storage and for track repair.

Somehow I completely missed this when it was originally posted so I'm glad it popped back up. The building is beautiful, as are your photos of it. Great tones and detail. I hope somebody will come along and see the potential and give it a new life.

It is an operating depot on a private rural railway to get agricultural harvests to the local CSX rail cars Jim.
