I don't know why it hopped. It's feet were in a different position when it landed. Possibly that was the reason. What ever the reason, a little bit of action to add interest to what would have been a simple portrait.

1,2 & 7 for me Morris. I especially like 7 for being able to see the red and yellow tips that we miss with a head on portrait. Striking bird.

The hop is neat, but the colors and details are excellent.

great images. nitpicking, I would say, the lenght of the branch being longer than the bird might be unnecessary. I would have preferred more air/distant background to convey the bird is free to fly away, and cut the branch just below that tear which adds character. but of course, I am quite new to these, so feel free to ignore.
