amazing pictures. the wings are really most interesting. are there clear membranes across the support pieces in them. it looks they would have a hard time flying. honestly, i would not have identified this as a moth. thanks for taking the time to take the pictures and share them with the rest of us.

Very cool, and well taken shots Brian!

Reminds me a little of a clearwing hummingbird moth that went on a crash diet, heh.

Dan I was using a LAOWA 100mm F2.8 CA-Dreamer Macro 2x but the shots are also focus stacked for greater DOF.
