very serene peaceful shots. excellent framing of each picture for detail foreground to background. make you want to get outside and enjoy nature. thanks for sharing.
Looks very inviting (for trout and humans!). Not something I would have visualized in my (stereotypical) imaginary thoughts about Long Island.
The in-stream structures look like they were installed specifically to enhance conditions for trout. Do you know anything about any such work on the stream? It sure looks like it's working!

Thank you Kim I am always amazed at the amount of wildlife that has return to the NYC area in the last 40 years. The river has been constantly maintained over the last 50 years, but recently the staff has been allowing nature to take over and the experience is more challenging, for the better.
