I went back to this spot this morning before the heavy rains that just hit. Since I wasn't working I had a little more time to find some better, I hope, shooting angles. All comments and critiques appreciated.
These are just about the hardest working birds I've ever seen

The wren is indeed very active and apparently hungry. Not only the shooting angle but also the wren poses and variety of bugs are better. I enjoy the second set more so, Gary!

A most impressive set Gary, you have gotten some very interesting shots of different poses, with the clarity of the bugs really adding to the overall image.

Thanks Louie. The clarity of the bugs, as I'm sure you know, is another advantage to using a high frame rate, even for a perched bird. It's a matter of a fraction of an inch and a fraction of a second to get the bug and the eye of the bird on the same focal plane. And you're right, I think it really makes a difference in the image.

His doctor apparently told him to get more protein in his diet, heh. Very nice set, sharp and interesting poses, plus I like your frames, adds a little more punch too.
