many thanks. a few days ago I "discovered" this gardening patch by a local church, so now I have been patiently waiting abotu 20 meters out as birds look for worms and other food.

As a photojournalist I shoot mostly sports for a living and hate shooting in the rain, football, baseball - yuck - but I can stand in the rain all day shooting wildlife and have a great time! Nice pics.

Absolutely those "off days" are part of the challenge. You did well with these. The subtle light and background rain give them a bit of a "healthy melancholy" feel.
