Hi, good question if you are referring to auto capture functionality. For auto focus it’s the same as before (as said above it’s improved and optimised further in this f/w), however for auto capture one needs to set up according to your scene AND focal length you are using.
I have been using a 400m f4.5 telephoto lens of garden birds running along a fence….
I can’t use distance settings as the fence is too close to the lens for that focal length. Therefore I use area capture and disable the edges, and then use motion (any direction) with speed 2 or 3 with subject detect with size 2. I setup one second shoots with 10 second gaps. This seems to avoid too many false triggers with wind moving branches and leaves, and gets interesting shots.
This seems to work well and has captured several garden birds on this spot over several hours.
