I had a pleasant surprise today when I realized that the Kase 77mm to 82mm magnetic adapter ring is exactly the same size as the front of this lens. This means that the lens hood still works perfectly with 82mm filters on the front! That's usually not the case when mounting step up rings. The hood goes on and comes off with no issues with the filters attached. I'm haven't seen this mentioned elsewhere so I thought this might be useful info for some.
