American Oystercatchers

These were taken at Nickerson Beach in late March and have been sitting in my queue to post. The great horned owls kept me busy for a while and then I injured my arm and am recuperating from tendinitis in the left elbow. I have not been able to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes never mind use my camera and that's why I have not been posting. The good news is that I'm getting better though it will be a slow recovery.

I hope you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

These are super....sorry to hear about the tendinitis....not uncommon for photographers....lots of repetitive movements. Get well soon buddy!

Hey Morris, glad you're back and glad you posted these. The first one does it for me.. The soft foreground, the bubbles, the bird stepping and the soft background give it great dimensionality

These are great Morris, well worth the wait. Have been missing your regular stellar posts.

Ugh, take care of yourself, and just know that you aren't alone. A car accident took away my road biking days... but a lot of PT later and in some ways I'm in better shape than ever. Just take it slow and follow docs orders and never give up. Careful with the powering through the pain mindset... that worked when i was younger, not so much as we get older, heh. Light kit and a tripod will be your friend when you start getting back out. Don't get cocky, and you'll be back to your old self soon.

I am glad you are recovering Morris. I am impressed with the your presentation on the darks and the lights in these Oyster Catchers, they look outstanding. Fantastic work on the entire set YGMV
