Terrific black and white near abstract pano. I can become desensitized to the many layered, misty landscapes one can see online, but his one is quite compelling. Perhaps it is the sudden transition from the dark foreground and the very light background mountain line. Or the way the undulations meet near the middle of the image centering the viewer's attention within the abstraction. Could just be the very appealing quality of the shadow tones. The presence of the person providing scale to the scene. Dunno. All the above?
Those lines dipping in and out around the center of the frame is what pulled me into the original composition, and I found that it was so much more effective in heavy handed mono. Glad you felt that pull as well.

That is lovely. Well done. I know what you've photographed, but I can also just appreciate the abstract nature of it. I love how you pushed the processing.
Thank you! Sometimes I think I've overdone it, but this one feels right on the edge in the best way.

This reminds me of the photos from Mars Rover Opportunity showing the sand dunes on Mars!
The amount of sand I brought home in my pockets is probably similar to being on Mars
