So a first for me and from my understanding they're not to common in Michigan.
One other person was there and she got on her phone and the text out the sighting to some site I'm assuming.
Next thing I know 20 people were there if that gives you any idea of the rarity I guess. People kept rolling in all morning to get a
shot of him lol.
I was really pushing the limits of my gear here and these are all larger crops
then they should be I know. I really needed(which is on my radar) a 600mm and a 2x TC I'm thinking here.
The only way for me to do that right now is sell the 300 2.8 vrii and the lens is just to versatile to give up.
So back to saving lol.
Anyways feedback is always welcomed!

You can definitely appreciate the distance here and with a 1.5x crop that's a 900mm 5.6. These birds are literally at arms length in Florida. I love #1 & #3. Nice work!

Hope you don't mind but I am flat out jealous.

I had to go all the way to Florida from Michigan to see them. Very nice shooting.

Google says they are common in Michigan lol.
