Since bees are almost always constantly moving it would seem (correct me if I'm wrong) that auto-focus is the much better option versus manual focus. In this image I shot with my Canon R6 and Canon 100mm macro and although I think the image is "ok" it took a LOT of shots to come up with this one. Shot in auto-focus but "stabilizer" was "off".
Wondering too if as we get older our hands become less steady which makes getting very sharp images more challenging? Interested in any feedback.

Nice one.
Can only say I never use auto focus for macro shots. I tend to use fixed focus and move the camera. It is hard to use natural light when shooting at 1:1 or higher- you are often shading the subject. Using flash makes it easier plus you get high effective shutter speeds as this becomes the flash duration.
