One of my favorite birds, this guy only gave me a couple of quick looks one afternoon a month ago, but hope to be back heading out 11 months and 2 days from today, but who's counting. Taken in Port Aransas at Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center.

Had to work on it and actually clone out just a bit on the upper right, so hopefully it's OK. Got some others at another place, but really want to spend more time with painteds next spring. Thanks for any comments pro or con.

Thanks, kind of obsessed with the bird, well many birds, but really wanted to get a few good painted bunting shots.

Beautiful image.
The bird's beak and legs look metallic. Very unusual.

Thanks for the replies, it was exciting to see him fly in, and next spring hope to find him and some of his friends. Can't say enough about how wonderful Texas is for birds.

So nice this bird, beautiful processing as mentioned above in really nice light. Only rarely do we see one around here mostly the Indigo Bunting. It sure helps when you fill the sensor like you have done.
