I am loving my F4 16-35, but I would like a faster lens that is equally light weight.

Any suggestions appreciated. Wide is good! Fast is good!

There are heavy wonderful lenses but I'm looking for trim and lightweight and fast.

14GM or 20G, or 16-35 PZ if you not using that already.
Voigtlander has some fast wides, but they are all manual focus only.

i'm using and love the 16-35PZ but it is F4 so I'm looking for something for shooting very dark areas, F1.8 or F1.4.

i don't know where you'd find a ff powered zoom that is lighter? with those f/1.8-1.4 apertures you'll have to switch to a prime lens.

Samyang's 24mm and 35mm are 1.8, very lightweight, have nice IQ and can be had at bargain prices. The V-AF versions are more expensive but provide more bells and whistles. The Sony 20mm 1.8 G is excellency all around if money is less of an issue.

Yes, 20G and 35 1.8 might be the most recommended for video.

I don't think the 20-40 is wide enough. I like to go into the teens in terms of focal length to work at short distances from the camera in small spaces.
