I posted a series of these shots a little while back, https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1808304 and someone asked me about processing. At the time I was having concerns about DxO Pure Raw brightening the images too aggressively. So I was having too get creative with post processing to try and bring the file back to the way I originally shot it. So this time I didn't run the file through DxO and this image is presented almost straight out of camera and much, much closer to the way it was shot in the field. Thanks for looking !

In this case it does not seem to me that DxO added value. In fact, I think it detracted. This is a dramatic and gorgeous image, Gary.

Thanks very much Kim !
I posted a question on the Post Processing Forum the other day regarding this but last I checked I hadn't received a response. There I posted the image straight out of camera and after DxO processing. It's very obvious that DxO lightens the images very aggressively. Just something I've got to get figured out.
