Yes....I turned her away from the R5/100-500 over to the Z8/400....I just think the stacked sensor makes all the difference in the world for bird photography. Now she is talking about the 800PF for next year....I'd be happy if she goes for that as I'd like to hold one in person

I was shooting with the Z8, 400mm f4.5, & 1.4X teleconverter yesterday. It's just a perfect sized package for handheld shooting. Unfortunately I am still recovering from Covid so I was only able to spend 30 minutes or so shooting but I was able to convince myself this was the right choice for this.

Not sure if many are still waiting. I was just told that the next shipment of Z8 into Canada is on June 14th. The one I ordered for my friend this past week will be in that shipment.

There is no ETA on 400 f/4.5 or 1.4TC though. Too bad as the 400/4.5 had been sitting In Stock for months until just recently (probably because of the Z8 release). They even had Z8 in stock for a week but I missed grabbing that last copy by a day.
