My wife and I normally paddle board around this lake 5 min. from our house on summer mornings. Bird watching is one of the big attractions, but of course I don't bring a big camera. Yesterday took our inflatable double kayak with my wife in back doing most of the paddling, me in front with my A7rV and 200-600mm. I really wanted to get a swallow in flight (like some of the fantastic shots I've seen here) but couldn't manage it. I did ok with the red winged blackbirds though.

Thanks guys. It was great having my wife keep us steady and pointed at the subjects. She's not used to being in back though and it took some practice.
