For those few who enjoy images of dogs...
On March 20, 2023 we were blessed with a litter of 9 Golden Retriever puppies (4 girls & 5 boys). It has been quite a journey with some VERY long and stressful days and quite a few short nights to ensure they matured as they should up to now.
The "Song" reference in the title has to do with their AKC name. Each litter will typically have a theme and the official AKC name has to follow that theme. It's not so much a hard and fast rule, but more of a tradition amongst breeders. This litter is the Song litter. As an example, one will have an official name using "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" as part of the official AKC name and his call name will be Brick.
Last weekend was their first time outside the house. Needless to say, they were extremely excited and had a wonderful time romping around the yard. We all slept soundly that night. The following images from that day out are the first of two posts. I am breaking it up so as not to have too many images in one post.
With one exception, this coming Mother's Day weekend is when they all go to their new homes. That one exception will be the newest addition to our clan. It's kind of a bittersweet time for us human parents to see all pf them leave the house. But it must be done....
