p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Family of Great Horned Owls

Ive shown some photos earlier this year of some Great Horned Owls nesting in one of my barns. Ive left them alone mostly but have been a couple of times. I went early this morning to see if I could get better images of the nest but to no avail. The door frames are on the east and west ends of the barn and I was hoping that sunrise would give enough light to get the nest. The shot of the owlettes is a 25,600 ISO and still not enough light. Gonna keep trying but going to give it a few days.

I love the first image Steven. That is the kind of thing that red winged black birds do. The second is a lovely pose. It's nice that you got the nest with the owlets in what is clearly challenging conditions.

You are very lucky to have them. I spent a lot of effort searching for nest's this spring in my area. Owl's, any owls are fun to photograph. I think #2 is my favorite. Hoping you post more
