Wonderful clarity and pop! Well done!

Picking one would be tough. Between 4 and 5 I choose 4 for the thin sand DOF and bright blown out background.

Wow Morris, I've never seen a TC work any better than your 1.7x with that lens, it's like there is no detectable penalty at all.
Your colorful oyster catchers always deliver too, nice set.

I'm finally able to get down low again for shots like 4. It's been a few years since I had the pinched nerves in my neck.

There is just a tiny bit more IQ loss with the 1.7x TC compared to the 1.4x. Most Nikon photographers have not discovered this gem and now it's retired along with everything else F mount.

Beautiful work Morris. Love those angle shots. Do you use a skimmer pod or just lay your lens on your hand and shoot handheld?

There are a number of biologists that do research at Nickerson Beach. Some birds wind up with bands from multiple projects.
