Found this in my father's garage after he died and it's been laying around our kitchen for the last six years slowly losing paint chip after paint chip so it got documented before it's just bare wood.

Another macro shot with the amazing Rodenstock 105mm f/5.6 Digiron macro on the Novoflex bellows at f/8, stacked in Helicon.

Thank you. I guess this is fitting into my shooting details of old tools. I'm just glad I rescued it before all the paint fell off.

i just looked up the price of that lens and it almost gave me a heart attack

but the unique design of being able to set the floating element position (despite not having a focus helicoid) to maximize sharpness/resolution warrants the price tag...

It's really the overall unbelievable performance. I bought that about a year ago when it was 4200 pound sterling from Linhof Studios in the UK which at the time was around $5300, so buy the time I paid Ca. Use Tax it was almost $6,000. At the time it was $8300 from B&H and about six months later the exchange rate dropped the price to around $4800 USD and then they had a 20 percent price increase. All I can say is that the very first time I tethered that to my laptop it was an unreal experience. I just have never seen anything that sharp, crisp and contrasty. Just crazy. The Contax 120mm Macro is very very close but only goes to 1:1. Different tools for different jobs. Now let the tilt-shift lenses start shipping.

i looked up the rodenstock-photo.com and strange that it's not in their catalog? but i suppose the ones on there are just the actual large format lenses? i probably don't want to know the prices of these lenses, either

Yeah, it's really hard to find on the Rodenstock site. Here's the Linhof Studio link: https://www.linhofstudio.com/products/Macro-Lenses/HR_Digaron_Macro_5_6_105mm_FLOAT

4975 Pound Sterling which is about $6100 or so plus shipping and import duty, which when I bought it was $49. Paula at Linhof Studio is just the best to deal with and she sells to a lot of U.S based photographers including several friends of mine. The also have much better prices on Novoflex and Cambo as well. It's a very dangerous web site for me to visit.

Rajan - I think I started out with one of those but in the end I needed to be just a bit closer than that allowed, but in similar types of images all of the three longer t/s-e lenses are great.
