Not sure if I miss having 24-500 in the bag, or if I love not having a bag full of 24-500?
These were shot on my way to work one morning a week or two ago.

VERY nice work. Back in the day when 28mm was considered really wide, I found myself drawn to that focal length. It just fit the way I see things. Even today, as in your work here, the field of view is just lovely. “Normal looking,” so to speak - yet still special because it is wid”er” than typical human vision. Thanks for posting these.

Thank you for the kind words and I really appreciate your thoughts on the 28mm view! I don’t have enough experience with it yet to know, but I think the key for me to have any success with it will be to keep working at it. With a bunch of zooms, it is like you can pull the world into your eye. With just a 28, you have to go out and look.

Second image is really great! There's something to be said for having limited focal length options. I've always enjoyed heading out on a hike with just a prime. Great work!

I have not had your experience, as my attention was mostly trying to capture on the long end. But, enjoying what you describe at least for now.

Wow, stunningly beautiful images. Congratulations. Excellent atmosphere.

I know it’s 100% subjective, personal taste thing, but lowering the blue saturation in the second photo a little, I think, might benefit its presentation, at least to my eyes. Others may disagree. And it’s your photo, so it doesn’t matter anyway. 😁

It is unusual these days to shoot old-school style and restrict to only a single focal length, but these are effective. :-)
