If you are an observer of bird behavior, you sometimes have to chuckle at the antics of the moochers...

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/6.3 600.0 mm 1/2500 iso400

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/6.3 600.0 mm 1/2500 iso400

This Egret is obviously competing with Patrick Swayze's mullet, and might be winning...

It's always interesting to see different species interact.

These are excellent behavioral images Eric. I agree with Dan and it's also interesting to see the antics of the snowy egrets on there own.

Thanks! It is a big part of why I love to shoot nature, catching those moments that are relatable, like when your cat falls asleep and rolls off the couch.

Thanks Rolo! Wow, a FL native, talk about a rare bird, heh. I'm a transplant myself.

You've done a super job in capturing this interaction. I have always gotten a kick out of watching these two birds interact, they can put on a show.

Thanks Louie! They sure can be little stinkers. I've got some fun and games coming up soon that is... well... you just have to see it.

Thanks Rex! Still getting my feet under me with the Sony stuff. I recently switched gear from many years with Pentax... There are things I miss, and things I love. I'm having to use DNG converter so I can work the Sony RAW files, which is an extra step but at least I can convert in batches, and it doesn't seem to effect final output quality at all that I can tell. I'm still holding out, I don't want to buy an Adobe subscription, so still on CC15, !
