I spotted two raptors riding the currents very high up over the Tanglewood Preserve on Long Island, NY. I suspected they were falcons yet when this one dove it was clear it was a peregrine falcon. This is my faverate image taken during the dive and it's a fairly large crop. As you can see some tree branches got into the frame yet they did not affect tracking.

Nice catch.I've only seen them in the distance and never had an opportunity to photograph one. Been trying to plan a trip to Palisades? for a couple years but never seem to have the time.

That's a wonderful place to photograph them. I've been wanting to get there yet have been very busy as well.
