I have a continuous light source for my subject, but whenever I move my camera closer to the subject, I immediately get shadows on my subject.

What do I do to fix this? Move the light source to the side and use bouncing sheets?

I always use two light sources, One on each side, preferably with one slightly above the subject.

Yes, moving the light source to the side and using bouncing sheets can help diffuse the light and reduce harsh shadows when you move closer to the subject. Experiment with different angles and distances to achieve the desired lighting effect. For CGI photography in Saudi Arabia you can contact with Welpixhttps://welpix.ae/

Look in the Post Your Setup thread for some creative solutions.

Use a longer focal length lens.

Maybe some flexible fiber optics attachments for your lights that will allow you to use much smaller light sources and move them in closer to the subject in a way that they don't get in the way.
