It’s that time of year once again when the Bluebirds begin nesting and that means as a photographer it’s about to get exciting trying to capture some of the interactions between Western and Mountain Bluebirds.
Yesterday I was up early and spent most of the day scouting out where the Bluebirds were nesting and to see if there was any action yet. Only saw one pair of Western Bluebirds but plenty of Mountain Bluebirds, no nest building yet but plenty of checking out the nests by the birds. I watched a lot of hovering around the nesting boxes and poking their heads in the box but they weren’t bringing nesting materials back to it yet. This is all good meaning that the season is just beginning.
