Narrator: Here we have a classic hover and dive of a Florida Osprey. See the steely determination, the sharp eye on the target. Yes, I'll say it, the raw nerve to make this dive.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/7.1 600.0 mm 1/2500 iso200
With a look of determination on this Osprey's face, it rotates its razor-sharp talons to the fore.

Impact! This Osprey has grabbed the ultimate prize, a giant... clod of dirt and nesting seaweed?!

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/7.1 594.0 mm 1/2500 iso500
Flapping the full extent of its majestic mighty wings, this Osprey works hard to lift off with it's heavy load.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/7.1 594.0 mm 1/2500 iso500
I believe I am spotted, and this Osprey looks ready to defend its catch if need be.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/7.1 594.0 mm 1/2500 iso500
Just look how this Osprey wisely angles this dirt clod into the wind for the best aerodynamic advantage.

Sony ILCE-7RM5 FE 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G OSS ƒ/7.1 588.0 mm 1/2500 iso400
As the morning sun rises, our Osprey leaves us confident that there will be good times in the nest tonight!

OK, OK, heh heh... It was just too good to resist. Mark has nothing to fear from this hack. . I totally dig and respect Mark Smith, and I felt safe with this bit of fun.
Lately if you watch his YouTube channel, he's had all kinds of crazy stuff like a Pelican trying to eat an Ospreys catch, including the Osprey still attached to the fish, in the Pelicans big bucket mouth! Osprey pulling up giant flounder, even a small shark. Just crazy, awesome stuff.
As I reflected on the cost of my new A7RV and 200-600mm G OSS being put to such good use, my dirt clod felt pretty lame in comparison, but the ridiculousness of it all made me laugh out loud, standing there by the water, and how can you put a price on that?
