This is the first time that I have come across a loon in our large municipal park right across the road from one of the Great Lakes. Usually the loons can be found up north in cottage country. Sure hope he finds a mate and hangs around.

Good shots. I am about straight west of you half way across Michigan. I do hope he stays around for you but even here, they tend to go north. Amazing what a difference can be made in about 60 miles. Hope he sticks around
