What do you use to carry your street gear around?

I use small cameras such as the Lumix GX9 with the 12-32 kit lens zoom, and as such I use very small camera bags that are basically meant for pocket cameras. The bag is no longer made but it was one of the smallest bags Lowepro made.

Padding is important because it dispels distracting caution. One thing I noticed about your bag is the metal hardware. Most camera bag makers have standardized on plastic because it reduces the possibility of cracking a lens element.

If one has a camera out in public forget about how the bag looks. It's the camera people see, no matter what. Recently I was set upon twice in as many weekends by people demanding I delete images, luckily the suggestion of police intervention secured my images. The GX9 and a smartphone were the cameras.

Keep up the good work.

I have the Domke F-6. Heavy duty canvas, water resistant, plenty of pouches and it holds my Canon long
EF-18-300 lens fine, with 5DSr attached, with velcro sections removed! Otherwise holds multiple lenses fine.
Thanks Mike!

My usual street and travel kit. One camera, one lens. M 10 Mono and 35 Summilux FLE though I will say lately it has been a 24 Elmarit. I tend to be seeing wider lately. My Leica M 10 Mono doesn't even have a logo on it. Small and gets a lot less atention than any of my Canon gear ever received.

Small Filson field bag 10 X 4 X 9 with a padded insert.

A good peice

I never use a bag when shooting street, camera is in hand and a Think Tank Speed Belt with one or two small pouches for incident meter, extra film, lenses, etc. Sometimes, I skip the belt and just use jacket pockets.

I use an Osprey backpack when out in the streets. Always have a camera around my wrist and extra equipment in my pack. The pack also contains things I need like water, jacket, sun screen etc…

This setup leaves my hands free to take photos and does not weigh down one side of my body with extra weight.

Yes I should have said when I take a bag this is what I usually take and that is usually if I think it's going to rain.

Either my pockets or a Patagonia Atom if I'm feeling greedy for gear. They fit a surprising amount.

Probably overkill for most people doing street photography, but I carry a Element Sling 15 and Ive really enjoyed it. That being said, I use the same bag for literally any photography outing - so for someone who only does street, it may not be the best. They do make an 11L version that may work a fair bit better and feel slightly less bulky than the 15. superb build quality though - I will breakdown far before this bag does.
