I would bet the Samyang version will be much cheaper with close to the same image quality. Their latest 85 1.4 and 135 1.8 are amazing value.
As are their small primes. I'm just back from 3 weeks touring the minority ethnic tribes of Guizhou province and my most used lenses were the superb Sony 16-35/4 PZ, Tamron 70-180 (though the zoom unfortunately failed with a week to go) and ... a lens I bought on the spur of the moment just before I left, the Samyang 75/1.8 a super sharp and astonishingly good little lens. The Samyang 45/1.8 was used in occasion too (another tiny, super sharp, high performance lens).
Weather was not good in general so the 24/1.8 stayed in the bag. That is : no astro.
I have a lot of time for Samyang lenses. If this is lighter then the Tamron then I'm interested.
