I am converting a Canon M6 to pure infrared (720nm or perhaps 800+, still deciding) using one of the service vendors and wondered if anyone can comment on the extra charge for an AR coating. If it were $50 or our currency exchange weren't so awful I would just do it but if it provides little benefit I may forego it.

Anyone have experiences to sway me? Problems with uncoated internal IR filters?

Been shooting IR without the AR coating for years and am happy.

Thanks, appreciate the comment. I'm not going to bother. Already looking at $500 just for the basic conversion in Canadian pesos, not including my costs to ship.
