Yeah, a dog I had was not tolerated by rattlers. She got bit three separate times, with a total vet cost close to $9000.00
Funny that you mention Ft. Huachuca. In '21 I travelled to Sierra Vista to photograph a rodeo there. It didn't work out but the memory that does stand out is an exchange I had with a FH gate sentry when I made a wrong turn and ended up at the fort gate.
Wow. The guard was an absolute tough guy with a killer instinct. I'm not saying he was an a......hole, no, just tough, really tough. He was unnerving, to be honest. It made me wonder how guys like him transition into civilian life....Show more →
MP's can be intimidating! They are trained to appear that way. If the guards were the "Federal Service"
then your assessment is dead on...a"a-hole" Rent a cops! Not all but some.
I can say that transitioning from military service into civilian life may not be so easy for many.
I had that problem for awhile when returning from 2 years in combat in Vietnam(1967-1969).
I was ready for the transition but those employers I interviewed with were not!
If he is an MP, he will have a "transition period" adjusting to civilian life. But any law enforcement agency will be grateful to hire him.
Thanks!
Dan
I have a slide somewhere from atop Huachuca Mtn. "Sorry Vista" had the biggest and best steaks I have ever tasted!
My 1st taste of Mexican fast food, Taco Bell or Tippy's Tacos. But when I visited Nogales, I got a taste of REAL Mexican food. Hmmmmmm good!
