The two human angels in this image are responsible for rescuing countless Golden Retrievers over the years. So many, in fact, that they eventually formed the local Golden Retriever Rescue Group called GRRACE to further this mission. The group is very well known around here and continues to save more and more Goldens every year. Some are deaf, some blind, some are very old, some are very sick, but all are loved when nobody else can or will until they cross the bridge.

Point Wilson Gulls | Port Townsend, Washington (August 2004) | EOS 10D and EF 24-85 3.5-4.5 USM

If you live near the beach, fog horns and choruses of raucous gulls make getting a good night's rest in Port Townsend tough. And, hot dang, I took this image nearly 20 years ago. The RAW editors were terrible back in the day and I couldn't squeeze out a decent rendition. I was so disappointed I continued shooting chromes for another year. I reprocessed it in LR tonight and that ancient EOS 10D can actually take a decent picture.
