I purchased the GM 135mm when it was first released some years ago and sold it due to lack of use when I purchased the GM 70-200mm f2.8 II. The lack of use was mostly because I tended to use the Sigma 105mm f1.4 for portraits.
I also couldn't pass-up the Samyang 135 at $767 when it went on sale several months ago. I am really happy with the purchase!
With a weight of 772 grams, it makes into my bag much more than the 950 gram GM 135mm lens ever did. It is equally as sharp across-the-field as the GM lens, in critical testing on the A1; and, I really like the simple form-factor of the Samyang.
For fast action, I would use the GM 70-200mm II anyway, so the Samyang's Achille's Heel of slower autofocus from the GM lens is no problem for me. For walking-speed shots (and even some running) the Samyang has been wholly adequate with a near 100% perfect focus rate on the A1.
