He struck me as a bit contemplative. I tried to convey a relationship between them, regarding the patron's mood, etc.

This is a little club, that reminds me a bit between "Cheers" and "Piano Man". Below ground, one owner, one other bartender ... it has it's set "family" of regulars. Blues on Thursday, Jazz on Friday, Karaoke on Saturday, Sports on Sunday.

20 folks is a busy crowd, 30 is a packed house ... 40 would give the Fire Marshall a coronary.

The foreground sets this composition up Kent IMHO!!!! The bassplayer is noticable enough to be an uninhibited view in the frame. Scale, emotion, depth.....all there!
The "bass section" of the frame is solid.......

Wow, this is a very inspiring image. I don't normally pay much attention to all the patrons at my local jazz club but next time I go I'll be sure to absorb the audience a bit more!
