I really like the idea that these works represent "truthful depiction of the natural world". Too often landscapes seem to be about pumped up, over processed works which I call shock and awe photography. Some of the winners for this competition are a bit over pumped for my taste, but the vast majority show great skills with composition and the ability to express the special nature of our world. I also like that the featured photos include some impressive abstract work.
These should be an inspiration to all of us striving to produce great landscape works. Thanks for posting this.
