Raquel was responsible for my "awakening". It must have been around 1966-67 or so. I would have been around 10 years old. My mom and dad were watching probably Merv Griffin show or something and Raquel was doing a song and dance. All those details are very fuzzy. I passed through the dining room into the living room and stopped dead in my tracks in front of the TV. I stood there for a few seconds and blurted out "who's that ?" My mom said " just some lady, now go play".
Funny the stuff you remember.
