A super set John. I am seeing more owls in my area (west central Ohio) than ever before, but unfortunately none while photo searching. I will admit they are somewhat difficult to spot, unless
in flight.

1, 3 and 7 are my picks John. Some have a little more shadow than others providing a bit more of a 3d look. Possibly a curve can accent this for all the images to give the owls a more 3d look. Your doing great at capturing these.

I am still totally amazed what results we can get shooting literally in the dark! I know a few had 'last light' on them after sunset but 5,6 and 7 once it flew from the tree to this branch and you couldn't see the owl with your naked eye only see it thanks to the electronic viewfinder just totally amaze me!! These look like fully lit daylight images!

These look solid to me and more based on the lack of light we shot in. That was some incredible shooting on your part at those super slow shutter speeds buddy and the fact that you were able to locate the owl once it flew to this branch is another amazing task

I'm giving you a ton of credit for your results

Thank you Douglas. Glad your seeing more of them. I spend a lot of time looking at trees trying to find them. Even when you spot one ( just seeing one is cool ) doesn't guarantee I will be a good image.

Thanks Morris. I have come to love finding and shooting these little guys. The shots where he/she is perched on the limb ,were after dark when it left the hole and started to hunt. Thank you for your suggestions.

Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking the time to look and comment. Shutter speed or iso, chose what I thought the lesser of two poor choices
