Then I tried to copy the manuscript, with the intension of translating it to English so I could read it.

I wonder if there is a way to copy a PDF manuscript for the purpose of then translating it. I would like to look through the manuscript.

The images are well done and maybe I can learn much from the combination of the two.

I made the pdf by scanning (using a flatbed scanner) the pages of the magazine so I think you can not translate it into English

You can cut text from a PDF 0r even from a photo and paste it into a text editor like Pages if you're using a Mac. From there, translation should be easy.
